Belgian SHARE Users Workshop

The researchers involved in the project Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) would like to invite researchers in Belgium who work with SHARE data to submit their abstracts for the Belgian SHARE Users Workshop, scheduled to take place on 29 November in Brussels.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). Since 2004, SHARE has aimed to provide longitudinal comparative micro data for studying the multiple challenges related to population ageing in Europe. Currently, nine waves of data (including two retrospective surveys) and two special COVID waves have been collected and made available to researchers free of charge, and the tenth wave of data is being collected.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers, policy makers and practitioners in Belgium who are using SHARE data for their research and/ or are interested in the topics covered in SHARE to discuss the latest findings in the field of ageing. Submissions on various topics related to ageing are welcome, including but not limited to Employment and retirement, Health inequalities, Health care and long term care,
Informal care, Well being and social networks

Abstracts (300 words max.), including the title of the presentation, the name(s) and affilation(s) of the author(s) and the details of the presenter (in case of multiple authors) should be sent ultimately by 21 October 2024 to Daniela Skugor (University of Antwerp).

Registration is open for all who wish to attend the workshop, also without presenting. Please register by sending an e mail to Daniela Skugor.
