Angelique Janssens and Björn Quanjer receive ESHD awards
Two Posthumus affiliates, both members of the Radboud Group for Historical Demography and Family History, were awarded a prize by the European Society of Historical Demography (ESHD) at the 6th ESHD conference in Bologna on 12 September 2025.
Emeritus Professor Angélique Janssens, former Scientific Director and long-standing board member of the N.W.Posthumus Institute was awarded the Massimo Livi Bacci Award, which recognises the life-time achievements of outstanding ESHD members.
Posthumus alumnus Björn Quanjer was awarded the Tamara Hareven Award for the best PhD thesis defended between ESHD conferences.
