PhD Position ‘A historical lens on family firms and gender equality in the Netherlands, 1900-2020’ (Utrecht University) – deadline 7 Jan. 2022
The Department of History & Art History of Utrecht University is looking for a PhD candidate (1.0 fte) for a project titled ‘A historical lens on family firms and gender equality in the Netherlands, 1900-2020’. The project will research whether family businesses are more conducive to gender equality in the workplace than companies without a family background, using a historical perspective. Another objective of the project is to use the insights gained on the family businesses to develop new intervention tools that can be used in promoting gender equality in non-family businesses nowadays. The project is part of the transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research programme : ‘Differential Pathways to Gender-Inclusive labour markets’ within the research programme SCOOP: Roadmaps to Resilient Societies.
